Plastim PTFE +25% Carbon Filled

PTFE +25% CF

Overview

PTFE carbon filled has better creep and wear resistance compared to standard PTFE sheet. These properties are improved with the addition of a carbon filler. This filler improves dimensional stability, raises the heat deflection temperature, improves creep resistance and the dynamic bearing performance.

Benefits:

High chemical resistance.
Resistance to both low and high temperatures.
Low flammability.
Low friction coefficient.
High resistance to UV.
FDA Approved.
Good electrical properties.

Weaknesses:

Compared to high-performance plastics, this product still has poor mechanical properties, despite being better than virgin PTFE.

Applications:

Pump housings, valve seats, gaskets, roller coverings, shaft bearings, filter housings, etching plates, shaft seals, slide runners, chemical engineering, machine parts, transport and conveyor technology, pump and instrument construction, electrical industry, electronics, laser technology, fume purification, pure water production, cryogenics, filter technology, food and medical technology.

Virgin, glass-filled and carbon-filled PTFE are FDA (USA) approved for use in contact with food, potable water and pharmaceutical products.

High chemical resistance to alkali and acids is the main feature of the fluoropolymers. PTFE is used for parts in the petrochemical and chemical industries.
