Acetal Copolymer (OmniAcetal)

OmniAcetal-C

Acetal C, or Polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM-C), is known for its excellent mechanical and chemical properties, wear resistance and dimensional stability. Ideal for mechanical parts that need stability.

  • Higher strength and stiffness and toughness
  • Low moisture absorption compared to Nylons
  • Temperature range -50°C to +100°C
  • Excellent machinability
  • Good electrical insulation
  • Good chemical resistance
  • FDA compliance
  • Available in colours
  • UV degradation
  • Flammability
  • Brittle at low temperatures
  • Lower abrasion resistance compared to Nylons

Gears, bearings, rollers, pumps, valves and much more

OmniAcetal POM X-Glide

Acetal C, or Polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM-C) filled with Polyethylene (PE). It has all the properties of Acetal C, but with superior sliding properties and wear resistance. Ideal for moving parts that require self-lubrication.

  • Low friction
  • Temperature range -30°C to +100°C
  • Chemical resistance
  • High wear resistance
  • Dimensional stability
  • FDA compliance
  • UV resistance
  • Flammability
  • Centreline porosity
  • Poor chemical resistance to strong acids, bases and oxidizers

Wear strips, bearings, bushes, marine, medical, food and much more.

OmniAcetal POM-C MD

Acetal C, or Polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM-C) filled metal detectable additive.
Blue in colour it has high strength, low friction and the ability to be detected by metal-detection systems. Ideal for the food industry and preventing contamination

  • Metal detectability
  • Higher Temperature range -30°C to +100°C
  • High strength and stiffness
  • Excellent dimensional stability
  • Better hydrolysis
  • FDA compliance
  • Good machinability
  • Lower wear resistance
  • Cost
  • Availability
  • Poor UV resistance
  • Brittleness due to metal filler

Blades, guides, gears, rollers, bottling and much more

OmniAcetal POM-C GF25

Acetal C, or Polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM-C) with 25% glass fiber filler. Significantly increase strength, stiffness and dimensional stability compared to standard Pom-C. Suitable for high load applications

  • High strength and stiffness
