PTFE

PTFE (Teflon)

PTFE, or Polytetrafluoroethylene, or Teflon is a synthetic fluoropolymer known for its non-stick, lowest-frictional properties. With its superb chemical and dielectric properties, it is widely used in the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industry.

  • Non-stick and low Friction
  • Temperature range -260°C to +260°C
  • High Thermal Stability
  • Electrical Insulation
  • High Chemical Resistance
  • Food safe
  • High resistance to UV
  • Good electrical properties
  • Self-extinguishing
  • Low Strength
  • Creep under stress
  • Difficult to weld and bond
  • Cost
  • Mechanical properties
  • Abrasion resistance, scratched easy.

Pipe linings, oil and gas production, pumps, seals, gaskets, bearings, bridges and much more.

PTFE GF25

PTFE, reinforced with 25% glass Fibre, offers all the normal properties of PTFE, but with better compressive strength under load, so improving wear properties. Developed mainly for the valve and seal applications.

  • Improved Creep Resistance
  • Temperature range -200°C to +260°C
  • Dimensional Stability
  • Electrical Insulation
  • Food Safe
  • Low Coefficient of Friction
  • Wear resistance
  • Chemical Resistance
  • Resistance to alkalis and hydrofluoric acid compared to PTFE
  • Friction increase’s
  • Surface finish
  • Glass-filler is abrasive on machine tools.
  • Lower Friction and impact resistance compared to PTFE

Seals, Gaskets, Bearing, Bushes, Insulators, wear pads, slide runners and much more.

PTFE C25

PTFE, reinforced with 25% carbon graphite, offers all the normal properties of PTFE, but with improved mechanical, wear and dimensional stability. Used in high performance applications like bearings and seals.

  • Improved Mechanical Strength
  • Temperature range -200°C to +260°C
  • Better Wear Resistance
  • Chemical Resistance
  • Low Coefficient of Friction
  • Electrically Conductive
  • Low tensile strength
  • Abrasion
  • Low Chemical resistance compared to PTFE, but slightly better than Glass filled.
  • Electrical insulation
  • Cost

Bearings, Pumps, Valves, Gaskets, food processing, aerospace and much more.
