Noryl GF30
PPE, or polyphenylene ether (PPE) resin blended with polystyrene (HIPS), with 30% glass fiber reinforcement. Offers all the properties of Noryl, but with higher mechanical strength and lower creep. Perfect for indoor and outdoor applications
- Mechanical strength, tensile and flexural.
- Temperature range -50°C to +110°C
- Very low moisture and hydrolytic absorption rates
- Good electrical insulation
- Low specific gravity, lightweight
- FDA compliance
- Poor resistance to hydrocarbons, ketones and aromatics
- Machinability. Requires slow feeds and speeds
- Cost and availability
- UV degradation, but better than standard Noryl
- Susceptibility to stress cracking under load.
