Polyethylene PE300 & PE1000 rod
PE300
PE300 also known as HDPE, High Density Polyethylene, is a more cost effective and easier to weld product compared to PE500 & PE1000. Its flexibility and ease to process makes excellent also for forming. Widely used in fabrication and basic mechanical parts.
- High Impact Strength
- Temperature range -50°C to +80°C
- Low Moisture Absorption
- Cost effective
- Chemical Resistance
- Easy to Fabricate
- Lightweight
- Sensitive to UV
- Poor bonding
- Temperature limitations
- Flammable, if fire safety is critical
- Mechanical properties
Chemical packaging, leisure, water tanks, leisure equipment, boat construction and much more.
PE1000
PE1000 also known as UHMWP, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, has exceptional wear resistance, low friction and high impact strength at temperature as low as -150°C long term, possible -200°C short term. An ideal product for food processing, material handling, and industrial and mechanical. PE1000 is also available in different grades and colour.
- Excellent Impact Strength
- Temperature range -200°C to +80°C
- Low Moisture Absorption
- Chemical Resistance
- Long service life over PE300 and PE500
- Machinability
- Food Compliance
- Regenerated and Antistatic options
- Low Coefficient of Friction
- Bonding Difficulty
- UV Degradation
- Low Mechanical Properties
- More expensive than PE500
- Brittle at low temperatures
