Safety Data Sheet
PE1000
PE1000 also known as UHMWP, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, has exceptional wear resistance, low friction and high impact strength at temperature as low as -150°C long term, possible -200°C short term. An ideal product for food processing, material handling, and industrial and mechanical. PE1000 is also available in different grades and colour.
- Excellent Impact Strength
- Temperature range -200°C to +80°C
- Low Moisture Absorption
- Chemical Resistance
- Long service life over PE300 and PE500
- Machinability
- Food Compliance
- Regenerated and Antistatic options
- Low Coefficient of Friction
- Bonding Difficulty
- UV Degradation
- Low Mechanical Properties
- More expensive than PE500
- Brittle at low temperatures
Bottling, packaging, chutes, hoppers, wear strip, cryogenics, docks, transport and much more.
PE1000-R
PE1000 R, is a regenerated, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. It is made mainly from recycled polyethylene, which is a more cost-effective material compared to PE1000. Often used in mechanical engineering.
- Excellent Impact Strength
- More cost effective vs Virgin PE1000
- Temperature range -100°C to +80°C
- Low Moisture Absorption
- Chemical Resistance
- Low Coefficient of Friction
- Environmental, utilizing recycled material.
- Lower overall properties.
- Mechanical properties compared to Virgin PE1000.
- Long-term durability and degradation.
- Food compliance may not be available.
- Speckled in appearance.
Food processing, material handling, Fenders, Crane support pads and much more.
PE1000-R-F-AST
PE1000 Regen incorporates a percentage of reprocessed or recycled material UHMWPE, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. The F stands for fine as unlike most Regen PE1000, the material is jet black, like normal virgin. AST stands for antistatic properties, which helps in high combustible applications.
- Excellent Impact Strength
- More cost effective vs Virgin PE1000
- Dissipates static electricity.
- Temperature range -200°C to +80°C
- Low Moisture Absorption
- Chemical Resistance
- Long service life over PE300 and PE500
- Machinability
- Low Coefficient of Friction
- Environmental, utilizing recycled material.
- Lower overall properties.
- Mechanical properties compared to Virgin PE1000.
- Long-term durability and degradation.
- Food compliance may not be available.
Bearings, gears, wear plates, conveyor systems, chutes, food processing, chemical and much more.
PE1000-HPV
PE1000 also known as UHMWPE, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, with a built in dry lubricant that can reduce the friction by up to 80%. Superior sliding performance with high limiting pressure velocity, which all leads to reduced maintenance and downtime.
- Superior wear resistance vs PE1000
- Low Coefficient of Friction up to 80% better than PE1000
- Excellent Impact Strength
- Noise reduction
- Longer lasting, so less down time than PE1000
- Temperature range -200°C to +80°C
- Low Moisture Absorption
- Chemical Resistance
- Machinability
- Food Compliance
- Bonding
- Can become brittle below -150°C
- High load applications
- Stability when machining
- Static
- UV
Wear stirps, chain guides, chute liners, food processing and much more.
